On Saturday, November 5, the community of St. Paul Church of Waukegan, IL, got together for a double celebration. Accompanied by Very Rev. Fr. Boghos Tinkjian, Pastor of All Saints’ Church of Glenview, IL, and Archpriest Fr. Daron Stepanian, Pastor of St. Paul, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, bequeathed the rank of acolyte on Brett Bowles, Catherine Jemian, and Margaret Jemian.
A reception ensued at the parish hall. Waukegan Mayor Ann Taylor joined the faithful on the joyous occasion. Board of Trustees Chairwoman Alta Mekaelian-Jemian welcomed the clergy, the mayor, and the faithful. She thanked the Prelacy for always being ready to assist the parishes and offered an overview of the community life. In turn, Fr. Daron thanked Archbishop Anoushavan and Fr. Boghos for their consistent support to the parish as well as the community for its efforts to work together and their team spirit.
