Letters from Armenia

VICTORIA – 1/19/2023

The Prelacy’s Orphan Sponsorship program, established in 1993, remains the centerpiece of the Prelacy’s mission in Armenia and Artsakh. We are pleased to share some of the letters that children regularly address to their sponsors.

This week’s letter is from Victoria,* who is sponsored by Knarik Meneshian.

* We use only the first names of the children to protect their privacy.

Dear Sponsor,

This is Victoria. I am 10 years old and go to 5th grade in school. I have many friends. I like to play with my dolls and draw pictures. In school, my favorite subjects are Armenian and Foreign Languages.

We often go for walks with friends. Because our city is very beautiful and green and surrounded by woods, there are many picturesque sites to visit. Lately, the situation is a little tense, because the enemy’s shooters target the city constantly.

I want to thank you for helping our family and to ask you, if you have the opportunity, to raise your voice about Turk and Azerbaijani criminals who continue to attack Armenia and kill innocent people.  I lost my father and I don’t want any other kid to feel the way I do.

Thank you.
