IN NEW BRITAIN, PRELATE PRESIDES OVER LITURGY AND HONORS ARMENIAN RELIEF SOCIETY

On Sunday, February 26, Archbishop Anoushavan presided over the Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon at St. Stephen’s Church in New Britain, Connecticut. Rev. Fr. Samuel Ajemian, Pastor, celebrated the Divine Liturgy.  Following the Badarak, the Prelate presided over the requiem service for all deceased founders, members, and benefactors of the Armenian Relief Society.

In his message, the Prelate expressed his appreciation for the more than 110 years of service of the ARS, which has brought its remarkable share of charitable, social, and cultural contributions to Armenians worldwide. Archbishop Anoushavan highlighted the organization’s continuous presence on the frontlines, wherever critical situations strike Armenian life. The Eastern Prelacy is always supportive of the God-pleasing mission of the Armenian Relief Society, he said in closing his speech.
