CATHOLICOS ARAM I PRESIDES OVER GENOCIDE COMMEMORATION IN ANTELIAS

His Holiness Catholicos Aram I presided over Divine Liturgy at St. Gregory the Illuminator’s Cathedral of the Holy See in Antelias in commemoration of the Holy Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide, on Monday, April 24. His Eminence Archbishop Gomidas Ohanian was the celebrant.

The special liturgy, with Armenian community leaders and members in attendance, was preceded by a commemoration at the Holy See in the evening of Sunday, during which the Catholicos addressed the public.

“We know that realism sometimes may lead to desperation,” His Holiness said. “However, armed with faith, led by will and strengthened by collective spirit, we are called upon as a nation to tackle the various challenges that surround us with wisdom and unity.”
