TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM CONCLUDES IN PHILADELPHIA

The three-year teacher training program developed jointly by the Armenian National Education Committee and the Armenian Communities Department of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation concludes this week, with a special workshop from June 12 to June 18 in Philadelphia.   

Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, attended a session on Thursday, June 15, during which he thanked the Armenian Communities Department director Razmik Panossian and the director of Western Armenian programs, Anahid Garmiryan. The Prelate extolled the cooperation between the Prelacy’s education division and the Gulbenkian Foundation.    

He also praised ANEC director Mary Gulumian for the success of the teacher training course. After congratulating participants for their perseverance, he presented certificates to teachers Silva Bedian, Maggie Nalbandian, Sarin Koftikian-Olden, Lena Garabed, Zepur Donoyan, Nayiri Manjikian, Silva Kotikian, and Marina Yacoubian.
