“FISHERMEN TO FISHERS OF MEN”: LENTEN LECTURE BY REV. ARCHPRIEST FR. ANTRANIG BALJIAN

Last night, the Eastern Prelacy held the second installment of its six-part Lenten Program, cosponsored by St. Illuminator’s Cathedral and presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, Prelate.

In light of the overarching theme of the “Year of Human Resources Preparation,” as proclaimed by His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Antranig Baljian, pastor of St. Stephen’s Armenian Apostolic Church of Watertown, Massachusetts, delivered a compelling lecture entitled “Fishermen to Fishers of Men.” Drawing upon the metaphor from the Gospels where Jesus transformed fishermen into fishers of men, Fr. Antranig spoke about the shortage and recruitment of clergy in the Armenian Church, emphasizing the faith community’s vital role in fostering and cultivating future priests.
