Letters from Armenia

Monté – 05/01/25

This week’s letter is from Monté,* who is sponsored by St. Sarkis Summer Camp Students (Douglaston, New York).
* We use only the first names of the children and those who benefit from the program to protect their privacy.

Dear Sponsor,

I am Monté, and I am a kindergartener (the letter is written by his mother in his name).

Next year, I will start school and become a first grader. I want to go to school, just like my older sister, but I am a little sad that they don’t let you take your toys to school.

I like to ride my bicycle, color books, and make figurines from play dough. My mom lets me go to the yard by myself to ride the bicycle and then come back by myself. I watch Armenian educational films, children movies, and cartoons.

It is true that I argue a lot with my sister, but I love her very much.
