MARDIROUS MINAS-HAFTVANI (1939-2025)
His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, and the Religious and Executive Councils of the Eastern Prelacy have learned with sorrow of the passing of Mardirous Minas-Haftvani (1939–2025).
Mardirous Minas-Haftvani passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, in Las Vegas. He was the longtime accountant of the Eastern Prelacy, serving under Archbishop Mesrob, of blessed memory, and Archbishop Oshagan during their tenures as Prelates. He was known for his dedication, meticulous work, and willingness to assist whenever needed, and was respected and appreciated for his kindness and integrity.
He was born on April 15, 1939. After completing high school, he studied English and French at the University of Paris in Tehran, graduating in 1972. From 1960 to 1979, he worked with Sir Alexander Gibb & Partners in Tehran. In 1979, he moved to New York, where he continued his career at St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church in Douglaston, New York, during the tenure of Archbishop Anoushavan as Pastor, and later at the Eastern Prelacy until his retirement in 2007.
