Letters from Armenia

Aren – 10/23/25

This week’s letter is from Aren (*), who is sponsored by Gregory Boudakian.

(*) We use only the first names of the children and those who benefit from the program to protect their privacy.

Dear Sponsor,

This is 11-year-old Aren, a 6th grade student. I live in the village of Aragats. I was born in Artsakh and lived there until second grade of school, but because of the war we lost our country, house, school, and the place where I took my first steps. The most painful thing is that I lost my father, my guiding light, and whose need I really feel now.

After the war, my mother, newborn sister, and I moved to my grandfather’s house. Here, I started a new phase of my life – a new reality. There is not much to do in our village, although my classes take up a lot of my time. I like to play with my sister, draw pictures, or read books. My dream is to become a computer programmer, to create computer games and realize interesting projects.

Dear Sponsor, thank you for standing by the families of those who sacrificed their lives for our motherland.

Sincerely,

Aren
