PRELATE JOINS SOORP ASDVADZADZIN PARISH IN CROP HUNGER WALK

On Saturday, October 25, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, joined the parishioners of Soorp Asdvadzadzin Church in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, for the annual Crop Hunger Walk, which is sponsored by the Northbridge Association of Churches.

The Crop Hunger Walk is a nationwide movement sponsored by Church World Service.

to raise funds to end hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world. Hundreds of religious groups, businesses, schools, and others organize local walk events in their communities each year. Walkers this year in the Whitinsville community raised over $8,000.

Later that evening, Archbishop Anoushavan presided over the 68th Anniversary and Thanksgiving Banquet at Soorp Asdvadzadzin Church.

A delicious traditional turkey dinner was enjoyed by everyone. During his remarks, Anoushavan Srpazan expressed his appreciation to Rev. Fr. Mikael Der Kosrofian, Pastor, for leading the flock entrusted to him in faith, hope and love. The Prelate spoke about growth and learning, which he has witnessed taking place over the years in the Whitinsville community, stressing that we learn something new every day. In closing, the Prelate asked God to continue to bless the faithful of Soorp Asdvadzadzin Church, and to keep her a beautiful beacon of hope for generations to come.

The following day, Archbishop Anoushavan celebrated the Divine Liturgy and delivered his fatherly message on the Feast of the Discovery of the Holy Cross. The day concluded with a time of fellowship with the parishioners.
