Dear Sponsor,
This is Alvard. I am very happy to tell you that I am now a student at the State Vocational School’s Division of Nursing, and that it was my dream. I always felt how important it was for people to have someone who will help them not only medically, but also with kind words, care, and love.
I lost my father when I was very little, and my mother and grandmother had to take care of every need we had. Seeing their struggle made me understand strength, endurance, and faith. I learned that life is not easy, but one can achieve one’s dreams step by step. I lost my father when I was not even one year old, and I had no time to feel and enjoy his warmth and love; and from that age I saw how my mother and grandmother were coping with this loss and never gave up or succumbed to it, doing their best to provide me with necessities.
Being a nurse is not just a profession for me. It is a choice that I made with all my soul: to be around people when they feel alone or hopeless. I want to be a person who will help them find peace, who will assure them and give them a smile in their difficult times. I started a new stage of my life where there will be many difficulties. However, growing up with such strong people like my mother and grandmother, I am not afraid of difficulties.
Your support has been very important for our family. You made our life easier. May God bless you and your family. Thank you for being at our side.
With love,
Alvard
