ARCHBISHOP ANOUSHAVAN AND FATHER MESROB WELCOME CHAMLIAN STUDENTS

On Saturday, May 30, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, and Archpriest Fr. Mesrob Lakissian, Pastor of St. Illuminator’s Cathedral, welcomed 70 eighth-grade students from the Vahan and Anoush Chamlian Armenian School of Glendale, California, accompanied by their principal, Dr. Talin Kargodorian, teachers, parents, and chaperones, during a class trip to the East Coast and their second visit to the Cathedral.

Fr. Mesrob greeted the students and guests and offered a brief presentation on Armenian Church history and culture, followed by a tour of the Cathedral that highlighted its history and significance. Archbishop Anoushavan expressed his appreciation for the educational program and encouraged the students to make the best use of their years of study and to apply diligently the knowledge they acquire to enrich their lives and serve their communities. The visit concluded with a prayer service led by the clergy.

Later, the group enjoyed breakfast and fellowship at Pashalian Hall.
