This book, posthumously published, is the doctoral dissertation of Archbishop Hrant Khatchadourian (1926-1980), the first Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy of the United States and Canada (then Eastern Prelacy), submitted in 1979. The work focuses on a group of authors who established the foundation of the Golden Age of Armenian literature in the fifth century A.D. with their literary works and translations.
