When, where and how did language begin?
Language Connections does not presume to have answers to these questions. Rather it deals with the best-known family of languages, the Indo-European. It brings into focus Armenian, one of the lesser-known members of this family, and shows its relations with other Indo-European languages.
Although linguistics is a technical subject, every attempt has been made to make this book accessible to the non-technical reader. “Sarkis Saryan has succeeded in scientific faithfulness of data presentation and the popular way of their interpretation. It requires special skill and taste, which is often out of the reach of many academic scholars” (from the foreword by Gevork B. Djahukian).
