The Armenian Church – Beyond the 1700th Anniversary, Aram I (softcover)

His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, has spoken frequently about the renewal of the Armenian Church; he proclaimed 2026 Year of Spiritual Renewal. But this is not a recent preoccupation of His Holiness. The text of this booklet is a lecture presented at a symposium organized by the Catholicosate in Bossey (Switzerland) in 2001. Twenty-five years ago, His Holiness stated: “The 1700th anniversary celebrations will soon fade away. The great achievement of the 1700th anniversary should be a renewed church for the Third Millennium. The Armeinan Church is the church of the people. Our people and especially the youth must take an active part in the renewal of the Church. The Armenian Catholicosate of Cilicia is committed to take this challenge seriously and responsibly.”
