This book was published a quarter of a century ago, but it has not lost its timeliness. Archbishop Mesrob Ashjian of blessed memory, former Prelate, wrote in his foreword:
“This short work has been undertaken in order to put events in the proper historical perspective. For many years we have been in the midst of negotiations for the unification of the Armenian Church. During these years the general public has not been aware of what has transpired, how the talks started, or where we are at the current time. We hope this volume will help to briefly explain the history of the events and the road traveled thus far toward the unification of the Armenian Church in America. As we have elsewhere in this work, our aim is not to open old wounds, but to eliminate confusion and to give a true and clear depiction of the pertinent facts.”
