CILICIA LIBRARY RECEIVES DONATION OF VALUABLE VOLUMES FROM THE PRELACY

The Cilicia Library of the Great House of Cilicia, established in 1931, has been enriched over the last ninety years with the donations by religious and lay bibliophile Armenians. It has four sections: manuscripts, ancient books, press, and a regular library.

On the initiative of His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, the Eastern Prelacy recently donated the collection of the former Executive Director, Vazken Ghugassian, including 48 ancient prints, one manuscript, and one map.

His Eminence Archbishop Shahan, Head Librarian, offered a presentation about the donation. You may watch it here.

The Eastern Prelacy encourages everyone who has ancient, valuable books to donate, to consider offering them to the Cilicia Library, which is always open to scholars and bibliophiles.
