The Prelacy’s Orphan Sponsorship program, established in 1993, remains the centerpiece of the Prelacy’s mission in Armenia and Artsakh. We are pleased to share some of the letters that children regularly address to their sponsors.
This letter is from Maria,* who is sponsored by Anna Aslanian.

Dear Sponsor,
I am Maria. I was born and still live in Yerevan. I am 11 years old and go to 6th grade in school.
I live with my brother and mother. I am the third child in the family. My older brother was called for his military duty in 2020, he participated in the war, and he’s still missing to this day. My father also participated in the war and was killed on October 2.
I wish all the children of the world to live with both their parents and never to be wars.
I want to thank those people who are at our side and are willing to help us.
