Soorp Asdvadzadzin Church in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, celebrated its 66th anniversary last Sunday with the presence of His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, who celebrated the Divine Liturgy. On this joyous occasion, the Prelate ordained Daniel Merian to the rank of Acolyte during the service and delivered the sermon. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Anoushavan blessed and consecrated the icon of St. Gregory the Illuminator. Following the service, His Eminence presided over the anniversary celebration in the parish hall.
Archbishop Anoushavan presented Daniel Merian with a certificate of ordination. He congratulated the community of Soorp Asdvadzadzin Church on their continued progress and commitment to service and expressed his gratitude to everyone for leading by example. The celebration concluded with the traditional singing of Giligia.
