“TREAT ME LIKE ONE OF YOUR HIRED HANDS”

On Wednesday, March 20th, the Eastern Prelacy hosted its 6th and final Lenten Program, in partnership with St. Illuminator’s Cathedral, featuring its typical components—an abridged Husgoom service, a lecture, and table fellowship—presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate.

Rev. Fr. Hrant Kevorkian, the pastor of St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church in Dearborn, Michigan, delivered an encouraging reflection entitled, “Treat Me Like One of Your Hired Hands” (Luke 15:19). Der Hrant applied the Parable of the Prodigal Son, with its cast of characters, to the communal life of the church, particularly those engaged in some form of service, and drew promising practical conclusions.

The table fellowship was sponsored by Mher, Taleen, and baby Hagop Janian.

Many thanks to Rev. Fr. Mesrob Lakissian, the Pastor of St. Illuminator’s Cathedral, the Board of Trustees, and all those who worked behind the scenes to make this program possible.
