On Saturday, April 13, the Hamazkayin Armenian Cultural and Educational Society celebrated its 95th anniversary with a reception held at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Ara and Ani Mouradian in Denville, New Jersey. The event was organized by the Hamazkayin Eastern Regional Executive with the participation of Hamazkayin’s New York and New Jersey chapters.

Very Rev. Fr. Sahag Yemishian, pastor of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church in Ridgefield, New Jersey, and Vicar, and Rev. Mesrob Lakissian, pastor of St. Illuminator’s Cathedral, represented His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate and delivered the invocation together. Hayr Sahag conveyed his message congratulating Hamazkayin and the six honorees, Armine Minassian, Marrieta Gabrelian, Janet (Mouradian) Markarian (posthumous), Siroun Garoyan, Vehanoush Tekian, and Alfred Yeznaian, who were recognized for their contributions to preserving our culture and heritage. Mr. Zakar Keshishian, chairman of Hamazkayin’s Central Committee, was the keynote speaker. The evening also included remarks and a cultural program.
