REV. FR. HRANT KEVORKIAN PRESENTS SECOND LENTEN LECTURE

On Wednesday, March 12, the Eastern Prelacy held the second installment of its six-part Lenten lecture series, co-sponsored by St. Illuminator’s Cathedral and presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate.
Rev. Fr. Hrant Kevorkian, pastor of St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church in Dearborn, Michigan, spoke on “The Baptismal Creed of the Armenian Church.” After comparing it with the baptismal creeds of other church traditions, Fr. Hrant briefly highlighted the Armenian Creed’s development and variants over the centuries. To view the presentation, please click here.
In keeping with tradition, the evening program started with a brief Husgoom Service and concluded with a table fellowship.
The series continues next Wednesday, March 19, with Rev. Fr. Mikael Der Khosrofian, pastor of Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Apostolic Church (Whitinsville, Massachusetts), who will discuss “The Historical Context to the Nicene Creed.”
