PRELATE EXTENDS CATHOLICOS’ BLESSINGS TO ARCHBISHOP ELPIDOPHOROS AS NATIONAL COUNCIL OF CHURCHES CHAIR

On Tuesday, October 14, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, attended the installation of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America as the new chair of the board of the National Council of Churches of Christ in the USA, at Hellenic College–Holy Cross in Brookline, Massachusetts. 

The Prelate conveyed the congratulations of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I and expressed his wishes that Archbishop Elpidophoros’ leadership may take the activities of the National Council of Churches to new levels of cooperation and unity. 

The Very Rev. Fr. Hrant Tahanian, Pastor of St. Stephen’s Armenian Apostolic Church in Watertown, Massachusetts, and Ecumenical Officer of the Prelacy, was also a guest at the event.
