IN PHILADELPHIA, PRELATE ATTENDS CHRISTMAS PAGEANT AND CALLS FOR CHILDREN’S CHOIR

On Sunday, December 21, the beloved Primate of our Diocese, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, participated in the Divine Liturgy at St. Gregory the Illuminator Church (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania). The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Very Rev. Fr. Boghos Sr. Vardapet Tinkjian, Pastor, who also delivered the sermon.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the Sunday School organized the traditional Christmas pageant. At the conclusion, His Eminence highly commended the pastor, the Sunday School principal, and the staff for their praiseworthy work. Having heard, during the program, the singing of several hymns from the Divine Liturgy, he proposed the formation of a children’s choir, citing as an example the Holy Trinity Church of Worcester, Massachusetts, which had performed successfully during the church’s celebration this past September.
