CATHOLICOS MAINTAINS CONTACT WITH PRELACIES IN THE GULF REGION

On Friday, March 13, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, who maintains permanent contact with the Armenian communities in the Middle East, held a telephone conversation with His Eminence Archbishop Mesrob Sarkissian, Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Surrounding Regions, and with Krikor Mahserejian, co-chairman of the Catholicosate’s Executive Council. There is still general insecurity and uncertainty in the region. 

His Holiness also received telephone messages from His Eminence Archbishop Sebouh Sarkissian, Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy of Tehran, from Hovsep Avetian, member of the Central Executive Council, and from the Very Rev. Fr. Ardavazt Sharoyan, Pontifical Vicar of the Armenian Prelacy in Ispahan. According to these updates, the dangerous situation continues throughout all regions of Iran.
