CATHOLICOS MONITORS SITUATION IN VENEZUELA FOLLOWING EARTHQUAKE

His Holiness Catholicos Aram I has been in close and continuous contact with His Grace Bishop Bedros, Pastor of the Armenian community of Venezuela, monitoring the aftermath of the earthquake that struck the South American country on Wednesday, June 24, and its impact on the Armenian community.
Bishop Bedros reported that the houses of two Armenian families were destroyed, and several Armenians were reported injured or remain unaccounted for. Bishop Bedros and the church and community organizations remain vigilant, continuously tracking developments and maintaining communication with His Holiness.
In response to the request by Bishop Bedros, the Eastern Prelacy has started collecting donations for the victims of the earthquake in Venezuela. You may make your donations online (https://armenianprelacy.org/venezuela-relief-donation-form/) or write a check to the order of Armenian Apostolic Church of America and send it to the Eastern Prelacy headquarters (138 E. 39th Street, New York, NY 10016).
