DATEV SUMMER PROGRAM IN SESSION

The Eastern Prelacy’s St. Gregory of Datev Institute commenced its 40th annual Summer Program for youth (ages 13–18) at Shiloh Bible Camp and Retreat Center in Hewitt, New Jersey, on Sunday, June 28, with the participation of 35 students from nine parishes. The program is centered on three principal objectives: Christian education and formation, recreational activities and fellowship, and prayer and worship.
His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, addressed the participants from Antelias, Lebanon. In his remarks, His Eminence emphasized the importance of the Christian formation of our youth, reminding the students that, as His Holiness Catholicos Aram I has often said, they are not only the future of the Church but also its present.
The program will conclude on Sunday, July 5, with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church in Ridgefield, New Jersey.
The accompanying photos show scenes from the many enriching aspects of the Datev Summer Program, including classes, Bible studies, panel discussions, Prayer services and reflections, and recreational activities.
