On Thursday, July 2, His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan, Prelate, visited the Edward Boyajian Elementary School, where he presented awards to the three top students in Armenian studies subjects and to the school’s outstanding educator.
The school was renamed in 1994 in honor of Diasporan Armenian writer Edward Boyajian (1915–1966) and is supported by his family through the Hrair and Margaret Boyajian Foundation, established under the auspices of the Armenian Prelacy.
The Prelate, who is on a working visit in Yerevan, was accompanied by Tigran Galstyan, Executive Director of the St. Nerses the Great Charitable and Social Organization. In his meeting with the school’s principal, Gohar Zakaryan, and the teachers, Archbishop Anoushavan was briefed on the school’s educational activities and daily life.
