Fr. Garabed Telfeyan with the clergymen and his family

On Sunday, March 21, Rev. Fr. Garabed Telfeyan began his mission as Pastor of St. Stephen’s Church of New Britain, Connecticut, and celebrated his first Divine Liturgy in his new role. His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, Prelate, presided the Divine Liturgy and the Sunrise Service, following which a luncheon was offered at the community center of the church. Board of Trustees Chairman Mr. Edward Adajian, Prelacy’s Executive Council Chairman Mr. John Kulungian, Archpriest Fr. Aram Stepanian, Rev. Fr. Vahan Kouyoumdjian, and Fr. Garabed offered speeches during the reception.  The Prelate praised highly the local community for its spirit of perseverance, congratulated outgoing Pastor Fr. Vahan for his service for the last two years, and expressed his wish that the flock of St. Stephen’s, gathered around the new Pastor, may attain new achievements. During the luncheon, attendees celebrated the 100th birthday of parishioner Sue Kevorkian.
