ST. STEPHEN’S CELEBRATES LADIES GUILD’S 70TH ANNIVERSARY IN WATERTOWN

Archpriest Fr. Antranig Baljian, Pastor, and the Board of Trustees of St. Stephen’s Church (Watertown, Massachusetts) hosted a gala celebration on Saturday, September 16, in the church hall for the 70th anniversary of the Ladies Guild. Approximately 100 members of the Ladies Guild and guests enjoyed a gourmet catered dinner and were entertained by three young musicians playing various Armenian and American pieces.

John Daghlian, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, praised the members of the Ladies Guild for their dedicated service and talent as they make baked goods year-round for the annual Palm Sunday Bake Sale, annual Bazaar, and host special events. The Ladies Guild also provides comforting Hokejash for grieving families during their time of need. Over the past 70 years, the Guild has provided financial support to the church and assistance to families in need. It has served with dedication and a pure heart. One of the original Tivan members, Mrs. Anahid Chengelian, was recognized for her many years of dedicated service in the Guild and the church choir.

Der Antranig praised and blessed the Ladies for their dedicated service and wished them continued success for many years to come.
